Who is a good candidate for becoming a franchisee?
Ideal Mr Brews franchisees are community-focused leaders with strong business acumen. They value our proven system, embrace flexibility and are committed to delivering consistent quality – with or without prior restaurant experience
What’s the investment?
Mr Brews Taphouse will be developed through both single-unit and multi-unit franchise opportunities. The number of units a franchisee decides to move forward with is determined through discussions with our Franchise Development team and your (the franchisee’s) personal goals.
The initial franchise fee is $45,000. However:
When two units are secured in an Area Development Agreement, the second unit's franchise fee is $40,000 per unit.
When three or more units are secured in an Area Development Agreement, the franchise fee is reduced to $35,000 per unit.
Beyond the franchise fee, the total investment will vary based on market conditions, location and the specifics of the site. Factors such as whether you are developing a new build, conversion or second-generation space can significantly influence overall startup costs. Our team works closely with each franchisee to evaluate site options and provide clear guidance throughout the process, ensuring your investment aligns with your goals and local market opportunities.
Franchisees can expect to pay a 5% royalty fee of monthly gross sales. In addition, franchisees will contribute 1% to the advertising fund.
What support does corporate provide?
Mr Brews Taphouse provides an extensive training and support program to help franchisees every step of the way. It begins with comprehensive training at our corporate locations. This initial training occurs before opening and educates management staff on operating the business. When a pub franchise location opens, a Support Team is ready to assist onsite during the opening. Mr Brews Taphouse staff maintains support for you and your teams, including training, marketing programs, menu updates and more.

Mr Brews Taphouse was founded in 2013. Since its founding, the U.S. craft beer segment has roughly doubled in dollar sales and grown by about 50% in production volume, while also increasing its share of the overall beer market substantially.
Mr Brews Taphouse is known for our signature burgers made with fresh, never-frozen beef and our house-made fresh-cut chips, quality ingredients that have defined our brand from day one. While these guest favorites remain at the core of our menu, our test location in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, has allowed us to evolve and expand our offerings to meet the expectations of today's customers. New guest favorites have been created with updated appetizers, fresh burger bowls, flatbreads and seasonal features - all designed to complement our curated craft beer selection and enhance the guest experience.
